With real-time environmental data becoming available, how do we ensure it drives accountability and delivers improvements on the ground?
New water quality sensors will generate huge volumes of data—but without plans for their use, it risks being under-utilised. EA resource constraints compound the issue.
Input from participants of the 3rd Clean Water South workshop identified a number of challenges. The 4th workshop created a set of project briefs to tackle these:
- Help us develop reactive source‑apportionment tools for identifying problems in water bodies. Find the challenge here.
- Quality Assurance for Data – Agreement and Standardisation Across Monitoring Groups. Find the challenge here.
See the Shared Documents in this team for full workshop 3 output and policy brief for this theme, as well as the project briefs produce in workshop 4.
