As part of my role as Communications and Engagement Manager, I am the Patient and Public Involvement lead for the Southampton Clinical Trials Unit, part of the University of Southampton. We run clinical trials of new treatments, medical devices and diagnostic tools to provide the evidence to improve healthcare for the benefit of patients. I am passionate about ensuring the public have a voice in how research is designed and conducted to ensure it works for patients, and making sure that communities who are underserved by research or have been left out of the conversation have the chance to share their views and their voice.
