Founder & CEO of Made Open. Co-founder of Time4Good.
I’m a strategist, creative thinker and service designer with over 25 years’ experience helping people and organisations create positive change. I’m passionate about designing systems and services that strengthen both place-based communities and professional networks.
Made Open
As Founder & CEO of Made Open, I lead our work supporting leaders to build stronger, healthier and more connected communities. We do this by combining strategic insights, design thinking and award-winning community software.
I'm very proud to support community platforms like Living Well Warrington, Can Do Bristol and Devon Connect, as well as professional networks like Talent Timebanking (NHS) and Future Towns Innovation Hub (University of Southampton).
Time4Good
I conceived and co-founded Time4Good, an early-stage micro-volunteering platform that makes it easy for people to do small, positive things in their community.
With partners in the US and UK, we’re currently piloting ways to:
Community Timebanks
Launching in March 2026, our Community Timebanks platform will make it simple for communities on a low-budget to exchange skills for time credits. Built on Made Open’s proven timebanking software, our goal is to power community collaboration and skill-sharing across the world.
Community design
I've developed a number of community design models that focus on bringing people together to explore challenges, share ideas and co-create solutions that make places fairer, kinder and more connected.
Whether through Design Thinking workshops, Community-Led Impact Programmes (CLIP) or my 5Ps model, my goal is simple: help communities design their own future.
Thought leadership & creative exploration
Through writing and mentoring, my long-term goal is to be a ‘gentle guiding hand’ for leaders and changemakers who are reimagining the future - whether for themselves, their organisations or society as a whole.
In summary...
I’m at my best when bringing people together to find practical solutions. I'm an excellent facilitator: helping people turn ideas into actions, problems into solutions and visions into concrete plans. I believe the best results come when everyone’s skills and perspectives are valued.
Finally: I love rugby, surfing and walking the coastal path. I'm also cycling from Roscoff to Santander in Sep 26 because, well, why not?
