Are you a professional working in digital innovation, smart cities, sustainability or related fields?
The Future Towns Innovation Hub (FTIH) invites you to become a mentor and make a meaningful impact on University of Southampton students and affiliates exploring their career paths.
Mentoring through the FTIH Network is flexible and collaborative. While we suggest that mentoring relationships involve around six hours of interaction, how you spend that time is up to you - it could include shadowing, discussions or practical advice. If you’d like to offer more time, you’re welcome to, but the programme ensures your commitment remains manageable.
As a mentor, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Share your career journey, insights and lessons learned with individuals eager to explore their future pathways.
- Help mentees understand what day-to-day life in your role looks like, including challenges, successes and opportunities.
- Connect with other forward-thinking professionals committed to nurturing talent and fostering innovation.
- Inspire confidence, guide career decisions and support the next generation of innovators in areas aligned with the University of Southampton’s expertise.
Mentoring through FTIH is a small time investment that can create a lasting difference - for your mentees, for your profession and for the future of innovation.
