Welcome to the Public and Community Engagement (PCE) Health and Wellbeing Hub - a dedicated space that connects people, ideas, and partnerships to improve health and wellbeing across our communities.
Our hub brings together researchers, community organisations, public partners, and practitioners to collaborate on projects that make a meaningful difference to people’s lives. By fostering open dialogue, supporting inclusive engagement practices, and creating opportunities for shared learning, we aim to strengthen the relationship between research and the communities it serves.
Whether you're looking to get involved in health‑focused research, access training and resources, develop new partnerships, or learn more about how public engagement shapes our work, the Health and Wellbeing PCE Hub is here to support you. Together, we can champion approaches that ensure research is relevant, accessible, and impactful for everyone.
“It’s only when everyone is involved in research that research can benefit everyone.” Caroline Tiza, Senior Engagement and Inclusion Manager, Research at University Hospital Southampton.
Tools and Resources
The Health and Wellbeing PCE Hub co-hosted the launch event for the Green Social Prescribing Toolkit Publication. This collaborative event also celebrated five years of In-Residence - an innovative partnership programme between Southampton Voluntary Services and the Public Engagement with Research unit at the University of Southampton. The programme continues to foster meaningful collaboration between researchers and community organisations, driving innovation and impact in public engagement.
More about the Green Social Prescribing Toolkit
As part of this project, four collaborating organisations were mentored and supported to design bespoke solutions to measure and demonstrate the impact of their Green Social Prescribing initiatives.
The toolkit aims to inspire other organisations to adopt creative and innovative approaches that clearly illustrate the difference they are making to individuals and communities.
